Our Eustice family comes from Ireland.  We do not know which city they emigrated from or when.  But our guess is around 1840`s and the city of Dublin.

Alexander & Mary (Mason) Eustace Family

Alexander Eustace of Ballinascorney, Tallaght Parish, County Dublin

was born about 1789.  He married Mary Mason, born about 1793 in Ireland, before 1815. Griffith’s Valuation (1848-64) lists Alexander Eustace living at Ballinascorney Upper, Parish of Tallaght, County Dublin;

Children of Alexander Eustace and Mary Mason:

1). Christopher Eustace; born May 1815, County Dublin; died October 04, 1895;

2). John Eustace; born July 24, 1819, County Dublin; died October 21, 1901;

3). Charles Eustace; born about 1823, County Dublin; died about 1864;

4). Edward Eustace; born about 1828, County Dublin, Ireland; died October 26, 1911, Rutland, Vermont.

5). James Eustace; born about 1828, Ireland; died about 1880 in New Hampshire.

6). Thomas Eustace, of Ballinascorney was baptized at Blessington on July 28, 1828. The baptismal sponsors were Thomas Crawly and Maria McGrath. He married Mary Murphy, daughter of Martin Murphy and Mary Mackey on July 2, 1860 at Blessington. Witnesses at the marriage ceremony were Myles Byrne and Judith Govern. Mary Murphy was born about 1838 in County Kilkenny and was a widow living at Shankill in 1911, together with sons Alex and Thomas and granddaughter Maggie McGrath;

7). Alexander Eustace, was born in County Dublin about 1837. He was a farmer at Ballinascorney, Parish of Bohernabreena. On September 21, 1865, Alexander Eustace, age 28, son of Alexander Eustace, of Ballinascorney, Tallaght District, County Dublin, married Anne Jones, age 25, daughter of Lawrence Jones, a farmer at Glasswilliam, County Dublin at the Roman Catholic chapel of Bohernabreena.

Alexander Eustace, son of Alexander Eustace, was born in County Dublin about 1837. He was a farmer at Ballinascorney, Parish of Bohernabreena, County Dublin which is located on the Wicklow border.  On September 21, 1865, Alexander Eustace, age 28, son of Alexander Eustace, of Ballinascorney, Tallaght District, County Dublin, married Anne Jones, age 25, daughter of Lawrence Jones, a farmer at Glasswilliam, County Dublin at the Roman Catholic chapel of Bohernabreena. Both were previously unmarried. The witnesses at the wedding were Miles Byrne and Teresa Henly. The 1901 census indicates that Alexander could not read or write (however the 1911 census indicates Alexander could read but not write) and that Anne was able to read and write. The 1911 census shows that Alexander and Anne Eustace were both alive and living in Ballinascorney.

    She married Thomas Grimes before 1899, they had Mary Teresa Grimes, born in 1899 and Michael Grimes born in 1900;

  4. Alexander Eustace; born May 11, 1878 at Upper Ballinascorney; baptized at Bohernabreena;

  5. Margaret Eustace; born 1880 at Upper Ballinascorney; baptized at Bohernabreena;

  6. Anna Eustace; born 1882 at Upper Ballinascorney; baptized at Bohernabreena;

  7. Teresa Eustace; born 1885 at Upper Ballinascorney; baptized at Bohernabreena;

  8. Bridget Eustace; born 1887 at Upper Ballinascorney; baptized at Bohernabreena;
