Catherine Eustace, a blacksmith’s child; age about one year, died 7 December, 1864 at Gorey, County Wexford from effects of a scald on the back of the hand one month previous (not certified, no medical attendant present). Richard (his X mark) Eustace of Gorey, who was familiar with the circumstances, was listed as the informant of the death which was recorded on 8 December, 1864 by George Weldon, Registrar.

Elizabeth Eustace; widow; age about 74 years, fruiter, died 26 March, 1864 at 1 Burke’s Court, of bronchitis and stricture of esophagus, one year; certified. Rebecca saunders, grand niece of 1 Bourkes Court was present at the death which was recorded on 4 April, 1864 by J.A. Byrne, Deputy Registrar.  Elizabeth Eustace was born about 1790.

 

3. Henry Eustace,                              56        Tullamore                   8          564

Henry Eustace was born about 1808 and died 14 May 1864; age 56 years at the Tullamore Workhouse. Note: Henry Eustace (Eustice) and Margaret Buckley were married at Tullamore Parish on 12 January 1840 and were the parents of the following children; Patrick Eustace, baptized 17 October 1840 at Tullamore; Mary Euistise, baptized 20 March 1842 at Tullamore; John Eustace, baptized 26 October 1845 at Tullamore; and Catherine Eustace, baptized 11 February 1849 at Tullamore.

James Eustace; married; age about 45 years, Harness maker, died 30 June, 1864 at R.D.S. Asylum, Kilmainham Gaol, Dublin of apoplexy, one day; certified. Patrick Lawler, attendant was present at the death which was recorded on 4 July, 1864 by Robert D. Speedy, Registrar. 
Note: James Eustace was born about 1819.

 

5. James Eustace,                             14        Gorey                          2          757

James Eustace; bachelor; son of John Eustace, age about 14 years, no occupation, died 27 January, 1864 at Gorey Hospital of fever, 12 days; certified. John Middleton, Master, workhouse Gorey, attendant was present at the death which was recorded on 27 January 1864 by George Weldon, Registrar. 
Note: James Eustace was born about 1850.

James Eustace, Bachelor, Farmer, age about 82 died 8 September 1864 of debility, one week, not certified (no medical attendant). Thomas (his X mark) Eustace of Ballyfolan, nephew of the deceased was present at his death. He was born about 1782 and is listed in Griffith’s Valuation as a head of household living at Ballyfolan, Kilbride Parish, County Wicklow in 1848-64.

Jane Caroline Eustace, Married, wife of Governor of Cork Street Hospital, age about 32 died 7 September 1864 of mammary cancer (uncertain period), certified. W. Eustace, husband of the deceased was present at his death at dwelling house Cork Street Hospital. She was born about 1832. The death was recorded 14 September 1864, Christopher Asken, Registrar.

 

8. John Eustace,                                55        Balrothery                  12        265

John Eustace; married; age about 55 years, Car owner, died 22 September, 1864 at Balbriggan,  County Dublin, of stomach cancer, certified. Patrick Eustace, his brother was present at the death at Balbriggan which was recorded on 30 September, 1864 by Francis McEvoy, Registrar. 
Note: John Eustace was born about 1809.

 

9. John Rowland Eustace,

Lieutenant General John Rowland Eustace, of Baltrasney and Kenneagh, County Kildare, was the son of Lieutenant General Charles Eustace of Robertstown and Corbally and Alicia McCausland Maj.-Gen. Sir John Rowland Eustace was born in 1791 and died on 19 August 1864, unmarried. Maj.-Gen. Sir John Rowland Eustace was invested as a Knight Bachelor in 1816 and gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Grenadier Guards. He was invested as a Knight, Hanoverian Order (K.H.) in 1835. He held the office of High Sheriff of County Kildare in 1850. He did have a son Reverend William George Eustace, born 2 Jul 1824, died 4 Feb 1890.

Joseph Eustace; widower; age about 76 years, Slater, died 5 June, 1864 at Michael Street, New Ross, Union of New Ross,  County Wexford, of paralysis, six days; certified. O. (Oliver?) Eustace, his brother was present at the death which was recorded on June 5, 1864 by M.D. Howlett, Registrar. 
Note: Joseph Eustace was born about 1788, is listed in Griffith’s Valuation living at St. Mary’s, New Ross.

 

11. Mary Eustace,                          70        Dublin, North              2          558

Mary Eustace, Spinster, No occupation, age about 70 years, died 28 January 1864 of paralysis subject to apoplexy. Marcus Eustace, physician & surgeon, Hampstead House, present at her death at Hampstead House. Mary Eustace was born about 1794. The death was recorded 15 February 1864.

 

12. Mary Eustace,                          62        Dublin, South              17        546

Mary Eustace, Spinster, No occupation, age about 62 years, died 18 November 1864 of bronchitis, 14 days, certified. Alexander Gray, Ringsend, present at her death at The Point, Ringsend. Mary Eustace was born about 1802. The death was recorded 25 November 1864, W. Chapman, Registrar.

Patrick Eustace, a son of a labourer; age about 9 years, died of phthisis, certified; duration 8 months on 24 April 1864 at the Carlow Workhouse. James Kerr, Master of the Workhouse Carlow, was present at death which was recorded 25 April 1864; J.S. Walters, Deputy Registrar.

Patrick; son of Patrick and Mary Fannin of Templemore, County Tipperary; died in 1864, he was born 20 Feb. 1864.

 

15. Paul Eustace,                           58        Gorey                          17        605

Paul Eustace; married; age about 58 years, blacksmith, died 22 September, 1864 at Knockina, Gorey District, Gorey Union,  County Wexford, of what was described as affection of the chest; no attendant was present to certify the death. Edward Eustace (his X mark) was present at the death which occurred at Knockina and was recorded on October 15, 1864 by George Weldon, Registrar.  Paul Eustace was born about 1806 and is listed in Griffith’s Valuation living at Kilcowan, Knockina, County Wexford.

Note: John Eustace; age 31 (born about 1847); bachelor; blacksmith; Knockina, Gorey District, Wexford; son of Paul Eustace; blacksmith, deceased; married Margaret Cranwell (also Grannell) ; age 30 (born about 1848); spinster; cook; of Ballytegan, Gorey, County Wexford; daughter of Phil Cranwell, deceased; farmer; on 3 October, 1878; Roman Catholic Chapel of St. Michael, Gorey.

Stephen, son of Edward Eustace and Mary Keravick, of Durrow, Abbeyleix, died in 1864, he was born 1 June 1864.
