Bridget (Gibbons) Eustace, age 70, married, of Gurteen (Ballymahon), County Longford, housekeeper,  died 20 January 1865 of Rheumatism lasting six months, debility and anorexia (one month), certified; her husband Luke Eustace was present at the death at Gurteen which was registered 27 January 1865. Bridget Gibbons was born about 1795.

Note: Luke Eustace, Farmer, of Gurteen (Ballymahon) died June 25, 1874, age 84 years at Gurteen.  Luke (sometimes Laurence) Eustace, and his wife Bridget Gibbons, were the parents of seven children baptized at St. Matthews Church, Ballymahon, County Longford between October 3, 1826 and September 26, 1840.

Catharina Eustace; married; age about 66 years, wife of Patrick Eustace, died 25 June, 1865 at Fethard, Fethard District, New Ross Union,  County Wexford, of phthisis, with her condition deteriorating during the previous 5 months; no doctor was present to certify the death. Patrick Eustace (his X mark) was present at the death which occurred at Innyard and was recorded on October 10, 1865 by H. G. Biggs, Registrar.  Catharine Eustace was born about 1799.

Catharina Eustace; married; age about 70 years, wife of a labourer, died 7 October, 1865 at Innyard, Fethard District, New Ross Union,  County Wexford, of old age, with her condition deteriorating during the previous 11 months; no doctor was present to certify the death. Edward Eustace (his X mark) was present at the death which occurred at Innyard and was recorded on October 10, 1865 by H. G. Biggs, Registrar.  Catharine Eustace was born about 1795.

Edward Eustace, a 73 year old bachelor and land steward, died January 1, 1865 at Castlemore, County Carlow, Parish of Rathoe, of bronchitis following a one week illness. His nephew Michael Eustace was present at the death which was registered January 9, 1865.

Mary Eustace; a 50 year old widow, occupation peddler; died of paralysis, 11 weeks on July 30, 1865 at Moate, Athlone Union, County Westmeath. Thomas (his X mark) Eustace of Moate was present at the death which was recorded August 17, 1865, John Mathews, Registrar.

Note: Mary Eustace was born about 1815.

Mary Eustace; farmer’s daughter, unmarried; daughter of Edward Eustace and Ann Coffey died of phthisis (Tuberculosis) at the age of 26 years on 17 March 1865 at Barrysbrooke (Edenderry District). Mary was baptized August 1838 in the Catholic Chapel at Rhode, King’s County.

Mary Eustace; spinster; age about 22 years, no occupation listed, died July 14, 1865 at South Street, New Ross,  County Wexford, of fever which lasted 17 days; medical condition certified. Oliver Eustace, her father was present at the death which was recorded on October 14, 1865 by M.P. Howlett, Registrar.  Note: Mary Eustace, daughter of Oliver Eustace was born about 1843.

 

14. Michael Eustace,                        60        Carlow                        3          386

Michael Eustace, a 60 year old land steward, married, died of bronchitis from which he suffered several years, certified on January 24, 1865 at the Carlow Workhouse District. The death was recorded 25 January 1865 by J.S. Walters, Deputy Registrar.

Note: Michael Eustace was born about 1805.

15. Michael Eustace,                        36        Edenderry                   18        350

Michael Eustace; Farmer; son of Edward Eustace and Ann Coffey of Croghan, Rhode District; baptized September 1829 at Edenderry, King’s County; he died of phthisis (Tuberculosis) on 21 November 1865 at Croghan. Michael Eustace was a 36 year old bachelor;

 

16. Oliver Eustace,                 85        Dublin, North              12        389

Oliver Eustace, age about 85, a widowed coachman died 22 August 1865 at the North Dublin Union Workhouse of chronic diarrhea from which he suffered some time. John Byrne, Assistant Master, North Dublin Union Workhouse, was present at his death which was registered 24 August 1865 in the District of Number 3 North City, Union of Dublin North, City of Dublin by Henry Curran, Registrar.
Note: Oliver Eustace was born about 1780. There is an Oliver Eustace listed in Griffith’s Valuation at Coolock, Brookville, County Dublin.

 

17. Patrick Eustace,               65        Trim                            2          969

Patrick Eustace, age about 63, a widowed labourer at Athboy, County Meath died 5 February 1865 of paralysis from which he suffered six months. Eliza Eustace, his daughter was present at his death which occurred at Athboy, County Meath and was registered 8 February 1865 in the District of Athboy, Trim Union, County Meath.

Note: Patrick Eustace was born about 1802. Patritius Eustace, (no age given) died 6 Feb 1865 in the Roman Catholic Parish of Athboy, Diocese of Meath. Patrick Eustace is listed in Griffith’s Valuation at Athboy, Mullaghstones, County Meath.

 

18. Richard Eustace,              35        Gorey                          7          681

Richard Eustace, Ballymoney (Gorey District), approximately 35 years old; died Gorey 26 June 1865, aged 35, married;

 

19. Thomas Eustace,  48        Carlow                        18        284

Thomas Eustace, Bachelor, age about 48 years old, occupation Labourer, died of heart disease lasting 36 days (certified) on October 13, 1865 at the Carlow County Infirmary, Carlow. W. Byrne, House Steward, County Carlow Infirmary was present at the death which was registered 14 October 1865, J.S. Waters, Deputy Registrar.

 

20. Thomas Eustace,              24        Dublin, South              2          656

Thomas Eustace; bookbinder; died of phthisis (Tuberculosis) from which he suffered two years, uncertified on 27 August 1865 at 27 Essex Street, Dublin South. Mary (her X mark) Eustace of 27 Essex Street was present at the death which was recorded 9 February 1865 in the High Street District, South Dublin Union, City of Dublin. Thomas Eustace was a 24 year old bachelor.

Thomas Eustace was born about 1841.
