Anne Eustace, of Durreen, age 60 years, widow of a laborer, died of bronchitis, three weeks (certified), at Durreen, District and Union of Durrow, Queen’s County on 10 June 1868. Stephen (his X mark) Eustace of Durreen was present at the death which was registered 20 June 1868 at Abbeyleix  District , Durrow Union, Queen’s County; W. J. Croly, Registrar.

Edward Eustace, Farmer; Widower; died 3 December 1868, at age 70 years of enteritis at Togher, Rhode District. Notes: Edward Eustace married Ann Coffey before 1829; They were the parents of six children: Michael Eustace, baptized September 1829, Christy Eustace, baptized December 1831 at Rhode; married Catherine Rigney on 26 July 1869; Patrick Eustace, baptized May 1836 at Rhode; died 13 November 1867 at Croghan of phthisis (Tuberculosis); Mary Eustace, baptized August 1838 at Rhode; she died on 17 March 1865 at Barrysbrooke, unmarried; Edward Eustace, baptized November 1840 at Rhode; died young; and Edward Eustace; baptized June 1843 at Rhode;

Eliza Eustace, a female child, age 7 years, daughter of a shoemaker, died of whooping cough, 6 weeks (certified), at 136 Francis Street, Dublin South on 17 January 1868. Margaret (her X mark) Eustace of 136 Francis Street was present at the death which was registered 29 January 1868 at Dublin South District 2, City of Dublin; W. Ryan, Registrar.

Note: This is possibly the same person as Eliza Eustace immediately below.

Eliza Eustace, a female child, age 7 years, daughter of a shoemaker, died of whooping cough, 6 weeks (certified), at 10 Francis Street, Dublin South on 29 January 1868. Margaret (her X mark) Eustace of 10 Francis Street was present at the death which was registered 30 January 1868 at Dublin South District 2, City of Dublin, W. Ryan; Registrar.

Note: This is possibly the same person as Eliza Eustace immediately above.

Francis Eustace, a male child, age 5 years, son of a shoemaker, died of whooping cough, 6 weeks (certified), at 10 Francis Street, Dublin South on 30 January 1868. Margaret (her X mark) Eustace of 10 Francis Street was present at the death which was registered 30 January 1868 at Dublin South District 2, City of Dublin; W. Ryan, Registrar.

Jane Eustace, a child, age 4 years and 10 months, daughter of James Eustace, horse clipper, died of scarlatina (Scarlet Fever) followed by an extensive abscess of the neck, three weeks, at Lime Kiln, Butterfield Avenue, Rathfarnham, County Dublin on 12 March 1868. Anne (her X mark) Eustace of Lime Kiln, Butterfield Avenue, Rathfarnham, was present at the death which was registered 13 March 1868 in the Rathfarnham District, South Dublin Union, County Dublin.

Jane Eustace, age about 35 years, a pauper, died of brain disease (certified), at the South Dublin Union (S.D.U.) Workhouse, Dublin South on September 25, 1868. John Hornridge, Chief Medical Officer, S.D.U. was present at the death which was registered October 1, 1868 at Dublin South District 1, City of Dublin, Thomas Purcell; Registrar.

John Eustace of Emo Park, Queens County, age about 45 years, bachelor, servant, died 26 March 1868 at Emo Park. The cause of death was listed as inflammation of the bowels (four days) uncertified and abdominal abscess (one week), certified. John Benn of Emo Park was present at her death which was registered on 7 April 18688 in the District of Emo, Montmellick Union, Queens County by Robert Lutrell, Registrar.

John Eustace, age about fifteen years old, unmarried, son of a butcher of Irishtown, died at his home in Irishtown, (New Ross) of consumption (three months), no medical attendant on February 5, 1868. Catherine (her X mark) Eustace was present at the death which was registered March 3, 1868 in the New Ross District and Union, County Wexford; J. Barron, Deputy Registrar.

10. John Eustace,                                           33        Dublin, South              17        438

John Eustace, age about 33 years, a pauper, died of bronchitis and phthisis (certified), at the South Dublin Union (S.D.U.) Workhouse, Dublin South on November 28, 1868. John Hornridge, Chief Medical Officer, S.D.U. was present at the death which was registered November 28, 1868 at Dublin South District 1, City of Dublin, Thomas Purcell; Registrar.

11. Margaret Eustace,                                               38        Ballinsloe                    19        16

Margaret Eustace, of Ballinasloe, County Galway, age about thirty-eight years old, married, wife of a baker, died December 6, 1868 of rupture of the uterus (certified), eight days. Johanna (her X mark) Keogh of Tea Lane, Ballinasloe was present at the death which was registered December 10, 1868 in the District and Union of Ballinasloe, County Galway; Patrick Horhe, Registrar.

Note: Margaret Mullins married John Eustace, a baker. They were the parents of Thomas Eustace, baptised on 11th May 1862 (sponsors: Patrick Daly and Winifred Donohoe) and Richard Eustace born on 3rd February 1864, in Keeff Street, Athlone. The birth record lists the father’s occupation as baker, and baptised on 21st February 1864 (sponsors: Martin Beuson and Margaret Mahon). Source: County Roscommon records.

 

12. Patrick Eustace,                                       64        Athy                            18        273

Patrick Eustace; married; age about 64, a labourer at Derryoughta, County Kildare died 18 October 1868 from a lump in the neck which had lasted one fortnight. Mary Curtis (her X mark) was present at his death which occurred at Derryoughta and was registered 24 October 1868 in the District of Monasterevin, Athy Union, County Kildare. Patrick Eustace at St. Michael, Athy, County Kildare, is listed in Griffith’s Valuation. He was born about 1804.

 

13. Patrick Eustice,                                        78        Mullingar                    13        198     

Patrick Eustace, a widowed, 78 year old labourer of Mullingar, County Westmeath died July 5, 1868 from what was described as decline of age. Andrew Jennings (his X mark) was present at his death which occurred on Barrack Street, Mullingar and was registered 20 August 1868 in the District of Mullingar, Union of Mullingar, County Westmeath. Patrick Eustace is listed in Griffith’s at Dirty Lane. He was born about 1790.

 

14. Peter Eustace,                                           2          Dublin, South              2          562

Peter Eustace, a male child, age 2 1/2 years old, son of a shoemaker, died of whooping cough, one month (certified), at 10 Francis Street, Dublin South on January 10, 1868. Margaret (her X mark) Eustace of 10 Francis Street was present at the death which was registered 29 January 1868 at Dublin South District 2, City of Dublin; W. Ryan, Registrar.

15. William Eustace,                                      17        Limerick                     10        293

William Eustace, age about 17 years, a pauper, died of typhoid fever (certified), at the Limerick Workhouse on May 23, 1868. The death was registered May 28, 1868 at Limerick District 2, St. Munchins, Limerick City.
