Anne Eustace, a 41 year old year dyer’s wife, from Vauxhall Lodge, Cork Street, Dublin died August 8, 1879 at Vauxhall Lodge of liver disease, uncertified. Mary (her X mark) Bourque was present at the death which was registered September 18, 1879, Henry Greenwood Mahon, Registrar.
Note: Anne Eustace was born about 1838.

 

2. Anne Eustace,                     3Q       50        Edenderry                   3          347

Ann McCabe Eustace, died 29 June 1879 at age 50 of heart disease. The place of her death is listed on church records as the Catholic church of Croghan. Note: She married Christopher Eustace in July 1856 at Rhode Parish. Christopher Eustace was born about 1826, was a herder (shepherd) and lived at Barrysbrook and Croghan (1857-67) and Barrysbrook (1868), Rhode Parish. Christopher Eustace and Ann McCabe were the parents of:  John Eustace; baptized July 1857 at Rhode; Michael Eustace; baptized August 1859 at Rhode; he worked as a herder and died 4 March 1879, age 19 of phthisis (Tuberculosis); Mary Eustace; baptized February 1862 at Rhode; William Eustace; baptized October 1863 at Rhode; Christopher Eustace; baptized January 1867 at Rhode; married Ellen McCabe; Ellen Teresa Eustace; baptized October 1868 at Rhode; Pat Eustace; baptized April 1870 at Rhode;

 

3. Anne Eustace,                     4Q       57        Limerick                     5          307

Anne Eustace, a pauper and spinster, died of dementia in the Limerick Workhouse, Limerick at St. Munchins, Limerick City on November 29, 1879.

4. Daniel Eustace,                   1Q       76        New Ross                    4          702

Daniel Eustace; widower; age about 76 years, pilot of Michael Street, New Ross, County Wexford died 20 March 1879, of gangrene (34 days) resulting from a thigh fracture which occurred three months previously. Kitty Maher (her X mark) was present at the death. The death was registered 22 March 1879, J. Barron, Registrar.

Note: Daniel Eustace was born about 1803; he listed in Griffith’s Valuation living at St. Mary’s, New Ross, County Wexford.

5. Edward George Eustace,   1Q       0          Dublin, South              2          782

Edward George, son of James Eustace and Sarah Rogers of South Dublin was born 16 December 1878 and died soon after birth in early 1879.

 

6. Eliza Eustace,                     2Q       46        Carlow                        3          367

Eliza Eustace, a 46 year old unmarried servant, died 23 March 1879 at the Carlow Fever Hospital of typhoid, 9 days, and lung congestion, 2 days; certified. M. J. Cane, of the Carlow Fever Hospital was present at the death which was registered 12 April 1879; C.M. Dowell; Registrar.
Note: Eliza Eustace was born about 1833.

 

7. Elizabeth Eustace,              4Q       5          Rathdown                   2          824

Elizabeth Eustace, about five years old, daughter of a labourer, died 24 October 1879 at Merville Lane, Corrig Avenue, Kingstown, Rathdown Union, County Dublin, of  what was described as declining health over three years, no medical attendant present. Margaret (her X mark) was present at the death which occurred at the home on Merville Lane, Kingstown.

Note: Elizabeth Eustace, GRO 4 Quarter, Volume 2, page 825 was cancelled. This is the correct listing.

8. Emily Allison Eustace,       1Q       0          Carlow                        3          398

Emily Allison, daughter of James Eustace, Gentleman and Catherine Stack of Newstown, County Carlow was born 24 September 1878 and died soon after birth in early 1879.

 

9. John Eustace,                     1Q       42        Thurles                        3          596

John Eustace; married, a laborer, died at the Thurles Workhouse on February 26, 1879, age about 42 years of pneumonia (21 days) and cerebral meningitis (3 days), certified. J. Russell, chief resident at the Thurles Workhouse was present at the death which was registered February 28, 1879 in the District of Thurles, County Tipperary; J. Russell, Registrar.

10. John Eustice,                    1Q       61        Kilkenny                     3          473

John Eustice, a bachelor, occupation: laborer, died at the Kilkenny District Asylum on January 13, 1879, age about 61 of effusion on the chest (30 days ill), certified. Barry Delaney, chief officer at the Kilkenny District Asylum was present at the death which was registered February 15, 1879 in the District and Union of Kilkenny, County Kilkenny; Richard Magee, Registrar.

11. Mary Jane Eustace,         3Q       3          Dublin, South              2          503

Mary Jane Eustice, a laborer’s child, age about three years old, died at the Cork Street Hospital, Dublin on August 29, 1879, bronchitis (14 days), certified. Mary (her X mark) Stapleton was present at the death at Cork Street Hospital. The  death was registered September 6, 1879 in the District No. 1, South City, South Dublin Union, County and City of Dublin; Humphrey Croly, Registrar.

12. Michael Eustace,              1Q       19        Edenderry                   3          456

Michael Eustace; died 4 March 1879, age 19 of phthisis (Tuberculosis); he was baptized August 1859 at Rhode; worked as a herder. Michael was the son of Christopher Eustace and Ann McCabe of Croghan and Barrysbrook.

 

13.  Mary Eustace,                 4Q       70        Kilrush                                    4          216

Mary Eustace, widow and pauper, died of ascites in the Kilrush Workhouse, Kilrush, County Clare on October 12, 1879.

14. Maurice Eustace,  2Q       50        Carlow                                    3          372

Maurice Eustace, age about 50, a bachelor, occupation: laborer, died at the Fever Hospital, Carlow on May 29, 1879, of typhoid fever (12 days), certified. M.J. Cane, of the fever hospital was present at the death which was registered May 31, 1879 in the District and Union of Carlow, County Carlow; Cecil Dowell, Registrar.

15. Michael Eustace,              4Q       0          Rathdown                   2          825

Michael Eustice, a laborer’s child, age about three months, died at Merville Lane, Corrig, October 26, 1879, of bronchitis (one week), no medical attendant. Margaret (her X mark) Eustace of Merville Lane, (George’s Street) was present at the death which was registered October 30, 1879 in the Kingstown District, Rathdown Union, County Dublin; J.F. Newland, Registrar.

Note: Michael, son of Michael Eustace and Margaret Byrne of Kingstown, County Dublin was born 19 August 1879 and died October 26, 1879.

 

16. Patrick Eustace,               4Q       80        Kilrush                                    4          211

Patrick Eustace, a married laborer died on September 29, 1879 of cancer in Cahermurphy, Kilmihil, County Clare.  Mary Eustace, believed to be his wife, was present at his death.
