Bridget Eustace, daughter of Thomas Crotty and wife of Simon Eustace, a farmer, was born about 1843 and died October 8, 1903 of chronic heart disease in Gowerhass, Kilrush, County Clare.  Her son Thomas was present at her death.

Headstone inscription: EUSTACE;  Erected by Simon Eustace (of) Gowerhass in memory of his beloved wife Bridget Eustace alias CROTTY who died Oct 18, 1903 aged 60 years.  May her soul rest in peace. Amen.

Edward Eustace; a bachelor of Bank Lane, Waterford, age about 15 years, printer, died March 28, 1903 of phthisis (three months), certified. May Eustace, mother was present at the death which was registered March 31, 1903 in the Waterford District No. 1, Union and County of Waterford; P. Cutler, Registrar.

Ellen Eustace, a female child, age about two years, died May 28, 1903 of marasmus (one year), certified. Ellen Maher, occupier of Glasavalawn was present at the death was registered June 10, 1903 in the Tallaght District, South Dublin Union, County Dublin.

4. James Eustace,                               1Q       45        Dublin, South              2          502

James Eustace, labourer, age about 45 years, of Kimmage Road, Dublin, died 24 January 1903 from cold exposure after having fallen into a ditch. An inquest was held 26 January 1903, and certification was issued by Sir Henry Hart, Baronet, Coroner for County Dublin. James Eustace was born about 1858 and was married. The death was recorded 10 February 1903 by Henry Davy, Registrar.

James Eustace, bachelor, son of a farmer, 25 years old, of Farrow, Multyfarnham District, County Westmeath, died of pulmonary phthisis (one year and 6 months) and exhaustion; certified on 6 April, 1903 at Farrow. Mary Eustace, sister, was present at the death which was registered 10 April 1903 at Multyfarnham District, Mullingar Union, County Westmeath; Thos. Daly, Registrar.

Note: James Eustace was the son of Michael Eustace and Catherine Parker. He was born 29 September 1877 and baptized 6 October 1877 at Multyfarnham, County Westmeath. He was the eighth of ten children  in the family. His birth was recorded at Mullingar on 8 October 1877.

Margaret Eustace of Ballymoney, County Wexford died at Enniscorthy, 6 November 1903, aged 60; she was the wife of a blacksmith.

Margaret Jane Eustace, born in 1893, was the daughter of Andrew Eustace, Royal Irish Constabulary of Dredagh, Carrigallen, County Leitrim and Catherine Curran. She died in 1903 at age 9 years of age.

Mary Jane Eustace, spinster, a housekeeper, age 36 years, died of bronchitis and dropsy (three months); certified on 26 January, 1903 at “The Manor” in Waterford City. Her brother Thomas Eustace was present at the death which was registered 28 March, 1903 at Waterford District No. 2, J. White, Registrar.

Mary Joseph Eustace (female), spinster, no occupation, age 22 years, died of phthisis (twelve months); certified on December 14, 1903 at Cottage Green Lanes, Clontarf. Her brother Henry Eustace was present at the death which was registered December 14, 1903 at the North Dublin District, Clontarf and Howth No. 1, County Dublin, Wm. J. Gibson, Registrar.

 

11. Michael Eustace,                          1Q       56        Carlow                        3          334

Michael Eustace of Carrigslaney, County Carlow died of pneumonia of eight days duration on 18 March 1903. His age was listed as about 56 years. He was married and worked as a fitter. John (his X mark) Donohoe was present at his death which was registered 31 March 1903; H. Kidd, Registrar. The 1901 census lists Michael Eustace, age 54, married, occupation painter, as a boarder in the home of Daniel Whelan, carpenter, and his wife Mary at Rathrush, County Carlow.
