Bridget Eustace, of 8 St. Joseph’s Place, Dublin, age about 11 years, not married, engine fitter’s assistant, died on July 10, 1905 of pneumonia, (12 days) and phthisis (2 ½ months), certified. Francis Eustace, of 8 St. Joseph’s Place, her father, was present at the death which was registered July 10, 1905 in the District Number 1, North City West, North Dublin Union, County and City of  Dublin; H.W. Oulton, Registrar.

Note: Bridget Eustace daughter of Francis Eustace, boiler maker and Sarah Kavanagh living at 33 Wentworth Place was born in Dublin on December 2, 1892.

 

2. Elizabeth Eustace,              2Q       26        Dublin, South              2          546

Elizabeth Eustace (nee Mooney), age 26 years, wife of (John Eustace), a van driver, died of endocarditic cardiac failure (certified) on 18 May 1905 at 17 Lower Bridge Street, Dublin South. Her husband, John Eustace of 17 Lower Bridge Street, Dublin was present at her death which was recorded May 18, 1905 by J.J. O’Connell, Registrar. Elizabeth Mooney was born about 1879.

Note: Elizabeth Mooney, of 68 Lower Clanbresil Street, Dublin, daughter of John Mooney, store man, married John Eustace, van driver of 27 Church Street, Dublin North, on 30 October 1901 at the Roman Catholic Church of St, Kevin, Dublin South.

 

3. James Eustace,                   3Q       66        Carlow                                    3          260

James Eustace, son of Hardy Eustace and Bridget Browne of Newstown, County Carlow was born in 1839 and died in 1905. He was High Sheriff of County Carlow in 1874 and married Emily Catherine, daughter of General Sir Maurice Stack, K.C.B; of Broomville, County Carlow in 1865. They had five children; Maurice James of Newstown (1867-1924); John Spottiswood (1868-1900); Cecil Robert (1876-1934); Roland Charles (1880-1948); and Emily Alison, who died as an infant.

 

4. James Eustace,                               1Q       31        Kilrush                        4          224

James Eustace from Coolmuinga, an unmarried domestic servant, died of phthisis on January 29, 1905 in Coolmuinga.  He was the son of John and Mary (O’Donnell) Eustace.  His sister, Nora Eustace, was present at his death.  All his siblings except for his brother Michael immigrated to Australia.  There are no descendants of this Eustace branch in Ireland as both James and Michael were single.

5. Joseph Eustace,                              3Q       40        Waterford                   4          456

Joseph Eustace, of Johnstown, age about 40 years, married, poultry dealer’s assistant, died at the workhouse hospital in Waterford on September 2, 1905 of laryngeal phthisis, certified. George Gay(Gray), of Johnstown, brother-in-law, was present at the death which was registered September 4, 1904 in the District of Waterford Number 4, urban, Waterford Union, County Waterford; T.A. Kelleher, Registrar.

Note: Joseph Eustace was born about 1861. Joseph Eustace, fowl dealer, a widower, married Mary Grey, occupation, machinist, daughter of Richard Grey, skipper (dead), on 12 April, 1891 at the Roman Catholic Chapel of St. John’s in Waterford. The family was residing in house 31 in Ballytruckle (Waterford Urban No. 4, Waterford) in 1901. All family members were Roman Catholic and could read and write.

6. Margaret Eustace,                         1Q       65        Carlow                                    3          318

Margaret Eustace, of Castlemore, age about 68 years, spinster, farmer, died at Castlemore on February 27, 1905 of a bowel obstruction, one month, certified. Mary (her X mark) Donnelly of Castlemore, was present at the death which was registered March 6, 1905 in the District of Tullow, Carlow Union, County Carlow; H. Kidd, Registrar.

7. Margaret Eustace,                         2Q       61        Celbridge                    2          339

Margaret Eustace; a married woman, living at Rathcoole, County Dublin, age about 61 years old, harness maker’s wife, died on May 9, 1905 at Rathcoole of senile decay and syncope, no medical attendant present. Mary Poucher of Rathcoole (daughter-in-law, written and crossed out on certificate) was present at her death which was registered May 12, 1905 in the District of Rathcoole, Celbridge Union, County Dublin; J.P. Riordan, Registrar.

Margaret Eustace, born about 1844, was the wife of George Eustace, harness maker.

 

8. Margaret Eustace,                         1Q       29        Dublin, South              2          625

Margaret Eustace; a married woman, living at 29 City Quay, Dublin, age about 29 years old, laborer’s wife, died on February 11, 1905 of puerperal sepsis (ten days) and childbirth (eleven days), certified. Patrick Eustace, widower of 29 City Quay, Dublin was present at her death which was registered February 11, 1905 in the District No. 4, South Dublin Union, County Dublin.

Note: Margaret Eustace nee Donohoe, daughter of Joseph Donohoe, steward, was born about 1876/77 and was living at
25 Poolbeg Street, South Dublin when she married Patrick Eustace of 33 City Quay, Dublin, fireman, son of Thomas Eustace, laborer on 8 July, 1894 at Church of St. Andrew (R.C.), Dublin. They were the parents of Mary, born 12 October 1895 at 16 Tara Street, Dublin, and Joseph, born Nov 6, 1897 at Poolbeg Street. Patrick is listed as a coal porter in 1895 and as a fireman in 1901;

 

9. Michael Eustace,                            1Q       76        Kilrush                        4          224

Michael Eustace, a widower and ex-sergeant in the Royal Irish Constabulary (R.I.C.), died of cystitis on January 24, 1905 on Moore Street, Kilrush, County Clare.  His wife, Catherine preceded him in death.  His daughter Clare Eustace of St. Clair’s Convent, Harold’s Cross, Dublin was the informant.

10. Patrick Eustace,                           2Q       82        Dublin, South              2          522

Patrick Eustace, a widower, age about 82 years, occupation laborer, died May 8, 1905 at the South Dublin workhouse of bronchitis. E. Doyle, workhouse occupier was present at the death which was recorded May 8, 1905. Patrick Eustace was born about 1813. He is not listed in the 1901 census.
