Anne Eustace, a female child, age one year and four months, (daughter of Joseph Eustace), died of tuberculosis, peritonitis and exhaustion (one week), certified on October 5, 1906 on Portobello Square, Dublin.  Joseph Eustace, father was the informant of the death which was registered October 5, 1906 in District No. 3, South City, South Dublin Union, Dublin; H. Day, Assistant Registrar.

Elizabeth Eustace, a widow, age about 82 years, occupation servant, died of bronchitis (ten days), certified on December 10, 1906 at Fethard.  Mary Banville, grand niece of Fethard was the informant of the death which was registered December 17, 1906 in Fethard District, No. 1, New Ross Union, County Wexford.

Note: Elizabeth Eustace was born about 1824. In 1901 she was living with the family of James and Mary Banville in house number 29 at Fethard, County Wexford.

4. Elizabeth Eustace,                          1Q       56        Dublin, North              2          425

Elizabeth Eustace, of Gracefield, Athy, County Kildare, a spinster, age about 56 years, occupation cook, died of double pneumonia (five days), and ?? debility, certified on February 12, 1906 at the Ferris Street Hospital.  Joseph Daly, inmate at Ferris Street Hospital was the informant of the death which was registered February 12, 1906 in North City District, No.2, North Dublin Union, County and City of Dublin; Michael Strahan, Registrar.

5. George Eustace,                             1Q       80        Celbridge                    2          345

George Eustace, a widower, age about 80 years, occupation harness maker, died of old age, certified on December 9, 1905 at Rathcoole.  Mary Pouche of Rathcoole was the informant of the death which was registered January 1, 1906 in Rathcoole District, Celbridge Union, County Dublin; J.P. Riordan, Registrar.

6. James Eustace,                               2Q       57        Dublin, South              2          545

James Eustace, a widower, about 57 years old, a waiter; died on May 26, 1906 at Meath Hospital; of pericarditis (seven days), cardiac failure (one day), certified. Mary (her X mark) Cooke, inmate, Meath Hospital was the informant of the death which was registered May 26, 1906 in District No. 3, South City, Union of South Dublin, County and City of Dublin; George P. Cole, Registrar.

Note: James Eustace was born about 1849. The 1901 Census of Ireland shows James Eustace, age 45, waiter and domestic servant, Roman Catholic, married, born Waterford living in a house 25 in Lower Bridge Street (Part), Ushers Quay, Dublin. There is also a James Eustace, Restaurant Proprietor, household head, born Dublin, age 52, widower, Roman Catholic living at house 15 in Upper Ormond Quay (North City, Dublin).

James Eustace , a bachelor, living at the Royal Dublin Infirmary, age about 36 years, Private Royal Fusiliers, died on June 18, 1906, primary cause not legible on document, secondary cause listed as cardiac syncope (six months); seven hours at Lower Salt Hill, Galway.  David Davies, of the Royal Infirmary was the informant of the death which was registered June 20, 1906 in the Castleknock District, North Dublin Union, County Dublin; Thos. Lydon, Assistant Registrar.

8. John Eustace,                                 1Q       1          Killadysert                  4          188

John Eustace, a child, about one year old, a farmer’s son (Patt Eustace of Shanakea); died on March 10, 1906, of a chest infection, no medical attendant. Patt Eustace of Shanakea, father of the deceased was the informant of the death which was registered March 12, 1906 in the Labasheeda District, Killadysart Union, County Clare; D. Vaughan, Registrar.

Note: John Eustace was born April 3, 1905 at Labasheeda, Killadysart, County Clare to Patrick Eustace, a farmer and his wife Nora Kelly.

 

9. Kathleen Eustace,                           2Q       0          Galway                       4          143

Kathleen Eustace, an infant, age about six weeks, daughter of a house painter and decorator (James Eustace), died on March 27, 1906, primary cause unknown, secondary cause is listed as syncopy; seven hours at Lower Salt Hill, Galway.  James Eustace, father of the deceased of Salt Hill was the informant of the death which was registered April 7, 1906 in Galway District No. 2, Union, County and City of Galway; Thos. Lydon, Assistant Registrar.

Note: Kathleen Eustace was born February 10, 1906 in Galway City to James Eustace, painter and decorator and Maria O’Flaherty, Lower Salt Hill.

 

10. Marcus Eustace,                           1Q       75        Wexford                      4          523     

Marcus Eustace, age about 75 years, married, occupation agricultural laborer, died 28 January 1906 at Brendane, County Wexford. The cause of death was listed as bronchitis (one week) certified. Patrick Eustace, his son was present at his death at Brendane which was registered on 9 February 1906 in the District of Bannow, Union of Wexford, County Wexford by J.B. Keogh, Registrar.

Note: Marcus Eustace was born about 1830/31. The 1901 Irish census shows Mark Eustace, agricultural laborer, age 70 living with his wife Mary (Carroll) also age about 70 years. Marcus and Mary were both born in County Wexford and Roman Catholic. Mark Eustace/Eustis, born about 1841, farm laborer of Brendane, Bannow, Bargy, County Wexford, married Mary Carroll at an undetermined date during 1868:

Johanna Eustace, born 29 November 1870;

11. Michael Eustace,                          1Q       56        Dublin, North              2          440

Michael Eustace, age about 56 years, married, occupation Sheet Iron Worker, died 14 January 1906 at 27 Church Street, Dublin. The cause of death was listed as Myocarditis (Cardiac failure) and certified. John Eustace, his son was present at his death at 27 Church Street. The death was recorded on 15 January 1906 by M.S. Walsh, Registrar.

Comments: Michael Eustace, the son of William Eustace and Margaret (or Harriet) Martin was born about 1845/1850. He married Roseanne Quigley about 1870. They were the parents of at least 12 children including Joseph, born 23 July 1871; John, born about 1875; Mary, born 1883; Mary Ellen, born about 1884, Christina, born about 1887, William, born about 1895 and several that were not named at birth. The family lived at 27 Church Street, Dublin North.

 

12. Robert James Eustace,                4Q       5          Carrick-On-Shannon 3          37

Robert James, son of Andrew Eustace, Royal Irish Constabulary and Catherine Curran of Drumsna, County Leitrim was born in 1901 and died in 1906.
