Benjamin Fawcett Eustace; J.P; (1870-1919) was the son of Dr. John Eustace and Maria Eliza Neilson. He married Edith Maud Const in 1902 and they were the parents of John Frank Fawcett Eustace, born in 1903, who married Natalie Annette Diamond in 1936; Pauline Beryl Eustace (1906-XXXXX); Veronica Pearl Eustace, (1906-XXX); Dr. Henry Jocelyn Eustace ((1908-XXX) and Benjamin Goodbody Eustace (1908-XXX).

 

3. Emily Catherine Eustace,              2Q       81        Carlow                        3          321

Emily Catherine Eustace nee Stack was born in India. She was the daughter of General Sir Maurice Stack K.C.B; of Broomville, County Carlow, and married James Eustace in 1865. James Eustace was High Sheriff of County Carlow in 1874. They were the parents of five children: Maurice James (1867-1924), John Spottiswood (1868-1900), Cecil Robert (1876-1934), Roland Charles (1880-1948), and Emily Alison, died as an infant.

 

4. Elizabeth Eustace,                          3Q       34        Carlow                                    3          235

Elizabeth Eustace, from Castlemore, County Carlow, spinster, age about 34 years old, no occupation, died at the Carlow Asylum of syncope, (six hours); certified; on July 6, 1919. Edward Dooper, occupier, Carlow Asylum, was present at the death which was recorded August 1, 1919 in the Carlow No. 1 District, Carlow Union, County Carlow.

Note: Elizabeth Eustace, daughter of William Eustace of Castlemore and Catherine McCasey was born January 1, 1881.

 

5. Honor Eustace,                   4Q       75        Kilrush                                    4          179

Honor Eustace (likely the widow of Robert Eustace and the daughter of Connor McInerney) died of senile decay on September 17, 1919 in the Kilrush Workhouse Hospital, Kilrush, County Clare.

6. Hugh Eustace,                                2Q       36        Naas                            2          659

Hugh Eustace, bachelor, age about 36 years old, farmer, died of acute bronchitis (six days), cardiac failure, (certified); on April 2, 1919 at Knockbane. Patrick (his X mark) Eustace, brother of Hugh, was present at the death which was recorded April 24, 1919 in the Blessington District, Naas Union, County Wicklow; K. Reilly, Registrar.

Note: Hugh Eustace, son of Oliver Eustace and Oner (Honor) Connellan was born _____ 1872. Note age discrepancy).

7. Johanna Eustace,                           4Q       78        Kilrush                        4          177

Johanna Eustace from Cahermurphy, Kilmihil, County Clare, a widow of a laborer, died of senile decay and hypostatic congestion of the lungs on August 6, 1919 in the Kilrush Workhouse.  Johanna is believed to be Ann McNamara who was married to James Eustace, a laborer from Knockerry West.  Her only surviving children were Edward Eustace of NY and Simon Eustace of Chicago.

8. Kate            Eustace,                      1Q       60        Dublin, South              2          835

Kate Eustace, a dressmaker, of 17 Crescent Square, Terenure; spinster, age about 60 years, died of pneumonia, certified; at Sir P. ?_____ Hospital on January 5, 1919. J.M. Cormack, inmate, Sir P. ___ Hospital, Dublin, was present at the death which was registered January 6, 1919 in District No. 1, Dublin Union, County Dublin; Lillian (Chever?); Registrar.

Note: Catherine “Kate” Eustace was born about 1861.

 

9. Mary Eustace,                                2Q       85        Abbeyleix                    3          255

Mary Eustace nee Kerwig; a laborer’s widow, age about 85 years, died of senile decay; no medical attendant present at Newtown on April 28, 1919. Ann (her X mark) Bryan, her daughter, of Newtown was present at the death which was registered May 6, 1919 in the Durrow District, Abbeyleix Union, Queens County; Maggie Doheny; Interim Registrar.

Note: Mary Eustace nee Kerwig was born about 1834 in Queen’s County; she was the wife of Edward Eustace, farm labourer, born in Queens County about 1827, whom she married about 1861. Mary and Edward Eustace were the parents of Anne, born about 1863 and Edward, born 31 July 1877. Also living in the home of Edward and Mary Eustace in 1901 was Mary’s mother, Bridget Kervig, about 100 years old.

10. Patrick Eustace,                           4Q       40        Dublin, South              2          409

Patrick Eustace, bachelor, age about 40 years old, farmer, died of influenza (six weeks), cardiac failure, (certified); on November 11, 1919 at 177 Emmet Road. Elizabeth Sinclair of 177 Emmet Road, sister of Patrick, was present at the death which was recorded November 11, 1919 in the Kilmainham District, Dublin Union, County Dublin.

Note: Patrick Eustace, son of James Eustace, harness maker was born _____about 1879. Elizabeth Hunt nee Eustace, daughter of James Eustace, harness maker, married Patrick Sinclair on October 18, 1896 at St. Catherine’s Chapel (R.C.), Dublin.
