Anne Eustace, spinster, of Ballyfolan, County Wicklow, about 68 years old, no occupation, Blessington District, Naas Union, died 14 May 1885 from general debility, no medical attendant. Peter (his X mark) Behan was present at the death which occurred at Ballyfolan and was recorded May 18, 1885, K. Reilly, Registrar.

2. Edward Eustace,                4Q       53        Gorey                          2          633
Edward Eustace, married, a 53 years old road ranger of Courtown, Gorey District, County Wexford died 4 November 1885 from abstemtion of the bowel, six days. His daughter Kate Eustace was present at the death which occurred at Courtown. The death was recorded November 14, 1885, G. Weldon, Registrar. Edward Eustace was born about 1832.

Edward Eustace, 33 years old (born about 1835); bachelor, fisherman, of Ballymoney, son of John Eustace (deceased), Blacksmith and Sarah Bryne, 30 years old, no occupation listed, Tonisilla, daughter of John Bryne, Blacksmith, were married 2 February 1868 at Riverchapel; Witnesses: William Eustace and Mary Dwyer; Celebrant: James Kavanagh, C.C. (Edward Eustace is listed as a gardener on his daughter Mary’s birth record in 1873).

Edward Eustace, a five month old son of a farmer, Killanne District, County Wexford died 11 November 1885 from convulsions, three days, (uncertified), no medical attendant. Mary (her X mark) Eustace, his mother was present at the death which occurred at Greenanne. The death was recorded in the District of Killanne, Enniscorthy Union, County Wexford on November 13, 1885, R.H. F. French, Registrar.

Edward Eustace, son of Alexander Eustace, farmer and Mary Delaney of Greenanne, County Wexford was born 29 May 1885.

Elizabeth Eustace of 43 Douglas Street, Cork, a spinster, about 92 years old, no rank or profession listed, died November 22, 1885 from gangrene, senile, right leg, (thirty days), certified. Mary (her X mark) McCarthy, servant, of 43 Douglas Street, was present at the death which occurred at her home. The death was recorded in the District No. 8 South, Cork Union, County and City of Cork on November 27, 1885; T. Crowley, Registrar.

Elizabeth Eustace was born about 1793.

James Eustace, married, about 37 years old, engine fitter, died July 2, 1885 at 2 Mountjoy Place, Dublin City from phthisis, certified. Mary Dowdall was present at the death which occurred at 2 Mountjoy Place, Dublin North City. The death was recorded July 2, 1885; J.P. Knowlan, Registrar. James Eustace was born about 1848.

John Eustace, married, about 70 years old, labourer, died 23 September 1885 at 41 Wood Quay, Dublin South City from bronchitis, (two months), uncertified, no medical attendant present. Mary (her X mark) Madden of 16 Winetavern Street, Dublin, was present at the death which occurred at 41 Wood Quay. The death was recorded 29 September, 1885; John Ryan, Registrar.

John Eustace, the 9 month son of a farmer Patt and Bridget Eustace of Clohannatinna, Craggaknock, Kilrush, County Clare died from convulsions on March 13, 1885.

Marcus Eustace, a Fellow of the College of Physicians, married, age about 52 years old, died March 1, 1885 at Elmhurst, Glasnevin, from cardiac disease, (fifteen years), angina pectoris (seven days), certified. Marcus Eustace Jr., son of Elmhurst, Glasnevin, was present at the death which was recorded in the Finglass and Glasnevin district, Union of Dublin North, County Dublin on March 3, 1885; M. Finnegan, Registrar.

Note: Marcus Eustace was born about 1833.

Margaret Eustace, a one year old, fitter’s child, died December 16, 1885 at 4 Lower Grand Canal Street from convulsions, (ten hours), certified. Bridget (her X mark) Eustace, mother, of 4 Grand Canal Street, was present at the death which was recorded in District No. 4, South Dublin Union, County and City of Dublin on December 16, 1885; C.B. Ball, Registrar.

Note: Margaret Eustace, daughter of Francis Eustace, engine fitter and Bridget Kavanagh of 4 Lower Grand Canal Street, Dublin, was born 8 November, 1884.

Mary Eustace, married, age about 34 years, from Thomas Street, Dublin, a charwoman, died October 3, 1885 at the South Dublin Union (S.D.U.) Workhouse from (cannot read on certificate) certified. A. Finn of the S.D.U. was present at the death which was recorded in South City District No. 1, South Dublin Union, County and City of Dublin on October 3, 1885.

Mary Eustace, widow, age about 63 years, a servant, died May 19, 1885 at the Cashel Workhouse from chronic bronchitis, duration not known, certified. James O’Brien, occupier of the Cashel Workhouse was present at the death which was recorded in the Cashel District, Cashel Union, County Tipperary on June 17, 1885.

Patrick Eustace, widower, about 70 years old, labourer, died 11 January 1885 at the Cashel Workhouse, County Tipperary from heart disease, (duration not known), certified. James Brien, occupier was present at the death which occurred at the Cashel Workhouse. The death was recorded 23 January, 1885; R. Cusack, Registrar. Patrick Eustace was born about 1815.

Patrick Eustace, widower, about 65 years old, labourer, died 1 October 1885 at the Athy Workhouse, County Kildare from a lung hemorrhage, (three months), certified. John Hyland, occupier was present at the death which occurred at the Athy Workhouse. The death was recorded November 3, 1885; J. Kilbride, Registrar. Patrick Eustace was born about 1820. Patrick Eustace is listed in Griffith’s Valuation living in St. Michael’s Parish, Town of Athy, County Kildare.

 

14. Sarah Eustace                   2Q       76        Dublin, North              2          392

Sarah Eustace, of St. George’s Terrace, Clontarf, spinster, about 76 years old, Lady, died June 11, 1885 at home from paralysis, (several years), certified. Mary Brien, was present at the death which occurred at St. George’s Terrace, Clontarf. The death was recorded June 24, 1885; William J. Gibson, Registrar. Sarah Eustace was born about 1809.

 

15. Teresa Eustace,                3Q       29        Carlow                        3          246

Teresa Eustace, of Dublin, spinster, about 29 years old, labourer, died 6 July 1885 at the Carlow Asylum, County Carlow from epilepsy, (two years), certified. Thomas O’Meara, occupier was present at the death which occurred at the asylum. The death was recorded 13 September, 1885; W.H. O’Meara, Registrar. Teresa Eustace was born about 1856.
