Catherine Eustace, a spinster, of 10 Cumberland Place, Dublin, no occupation stated, age about 79 years, died August 26, 1897 at the North Dublin Workhouse, of debility (one month), cardiac failure, certified. J. Donohoe, inmate, North Dublin Workhouse, was present at the death was registered August 31, 1897 in the District No. 3, North City, Dublin Union, County and city of Dublin.

Christopher Eustace; a male child, age about 15 months, son of a herd(er), died September 10, 1897, at Croghan of whooping cough and bronchitis (21 days), exhaustion (2 days), certified. Ellen Eustace, mother of Croghan was present at the death which was registered September 14, 1897 in District and union of Edenderry, King’s County; M. Evers, Registrar.

Note: Christopher Eustace, son of Christopher Eustace and Ellen McCabe was born was baptized during June 1896 at Rhode, King’s County.

James Eustace, of 1 Tivoli Avenue, Rathmines District, Dublin South; Widower, age about 60 years old, Pensioner, died from an extended illness, (certified) on 19 February, 1897 at 1 Tivoli Avenue. Ed Eustace, his son was present at the death which was registered 22 February 1897. James Eustace was born about 1837.

Notes: Edward Eustace, age 36, Grocer’s Porter, born County Dublin, was a boarder living in 1911 on Tivoli Avenue, Rathmines in the home of Mary Warren, age 69. He was a member of the Church of Ireland. Edward Eustace could read and write.

Mary Eustace, sister of the deceased, of 58 Mulgrave Street was present at the death which was registered November 3, 1897 in the Kingstown District, Rathdown Union, County Dublin; J.F. Newland, Registrar.

Margaret Eustace; a spinster, age about 20 years, occupation, shop assistant; died at 58 Mulgrave Street, on July 3, 1897 of phthisis pulmonaris (13 months), certified. Mary Eustace, sister of the deceased, of 58 Mulgrave Street was present at the death which was registered July 7, 1897 in the Kingstown District, Rathdown Union, County Dublin; Henry R. Newland, Registrar.

Note: Margaret Eustace, daughter of _________ Eustace and ______ was born about 1877.

 

11.  Michael Eustice,              4Q       41        Killadysert                  4          182

Michael Eustace, a farmer and son of Patt Eustace and Mary Ronan, died by suicide on December 13, 1897 in Erribul, Labasheeda, Killadysert, County Clare.  Michael was married to Kate McInerny, daughter of John and Mary McInerny, who died of phthisis in 1899.  They were survived by three children Mary Kathleen; John and Margaret Agnes.

Thomas Eustace, Widower, age about 53 years old, of Poolbeg Street, Dublin, occupation labourer, died of Bronchitis (certified) on April 12, 1897 at the North Dublin Union Workhouse, Dublin. The death was registered April 13, 1897.
