Marcella Garrity (also
spelled Geraghty) was born about 1848 in New York. She was the
daughter of
Patrick Garrity and Catherine Glinnan
who came to
the United States about 1847 where they joined other Irish Catholic
families at Victory, Saratoga County, New York. Patrick soon
established a grist mill at the base of the dam on the Fish
River which flows between Schuylerville and Victory Mills. He
operated the mill for many years.
Marcella Garrity married
Henry Baker. Their daughter Josephine was born in 1877/78. She
married Thomas Nacy, son of Thomas Nacy Sr. and Elizabeth Moran
(Morin).
Thomas Nacy Jr and Josephine Baker
had two children. |
