Michael Joseph Eustace son of Michael Eustace and Catherine Parker was born May 9, 1874 (baptized May 12th) at
Multyfarnham, Westmeath . His sponsors were Michael Farrell and Esther
Eustace. Michael emigrated to the US and arrived on 29 April
1897. He married Margaret Coughlin 24 June 1903
at Sacred Heart Church in New Haven, Connecticut. On ___date___, Michael was
issued a WW I Draft Registration Record, which is the first evidence of his
middle name "Joseph". The 1900 US census lists Michael Eustace living at 127
Day Street in New Haven. His occupation is given as "hostler. On the 1920
census, Michael and Margaret were living on Newhall Street and his
occupation is listed as police patrol at gun factory. He served as Special
Constable at the Winchester Repeating Arms Company, Winchester Avenue in New
Haven. Michael died in New Haven on 8 June 1927. Margaret Coughlin Eustace
was known as "Aunt Lizzy" and died 18 April 1965 in Newtown,
Connecticut.
