Eveline Remillard & George Chevalier Family GENERATION VIII Eveline8 Rémillard; Guillaume1, Francois2, Francois3, Joseph-Marie4, Francois-Hyacinthe5; Hilaire6, Hilaire7; (Hilaire and Eveline Levoy); Born about 1870, she married George T. Chevalier an Oakland businessman; She was described in the Morning Call; Oakland, California; August 21, 1892; as follows; Miss Eveline Remillard is one of the beauties of Oakland and a girl that the city may well be proud of. Belonging to a wealthy family her time is all her own. She is especially fond of horses and outdoor exercise, so she is often seen in her stylish little phaeton, where she shows to advantage and where she handles the ribbons with the dexterity of an expert. The pretty and graceful manner with which she alights from her carriage and ties her horse to the hitching post is greatly admired. She has many winning ways and a bright, sunny smile that is very attractive. Miss Remillard is as yet a very young girl. Last winter was her first in society, so that as yet she is considered a bud. She has a dashy brother Phil, who is quite a lion among the ladies. Society says Miss Eveline is “still heart whole and fancy free.” Morning Call; Oakland; August 21, 1892; 14-4. GENERATION VII
