Joseph8Rémillard; Francois2, Francois3; Joseph-Marie4; Jean-Marie5; Joseph6; Joseph7; (Joseph Rémillard & Rose-Adeline Bertrand); born at Dubuque, Iowa in April 1862. Two years later, in 1864, Joseph and Rose Adeline Remillard took their small family to Jefferson Township, Union County, South Dakota. The family lived at first with Joseph Remillard, Sr., who had arrived in South Dakota the previous year.
Joseph Remillard married Elizabeth Flageole (Honore-Treffle Flageole and Eulalie Beaubien) in Union County, South Dakota on 2 July 1888. Joseph became a successful farmer.
Joseph Remillard was hit and killed by a street car in Sioux City, Iowa on January 15, 1906. The newspaper announcement described him as a prosperous farmer living near Elk Point, South Dakota in Civil Bend Township, Union County, South Dakota.
