Eustace Family in Gowerhass, County Clare

Gowerhass
The townland of Gowerhass is southwest of Kilmihil. Members of this Gowerhass Eustace clan lived predominately in the Parish of Kilrush. The Freeholder List records of the early 1800s do not include this family.

The Gowerhass Eustace families appear to be more closely connected to the Robert Eustace (born 1815) family from Cahermurphy, and the Michael Eustace (born 1813) family from Kilmaley. Irish naming patterns and oral history have been used to help determine which Eustace families claim the townland of Gowerhass and its surrounds as home.
