Andrew was the son of Michael Lang (1818-1890) and Brigid McDonough Noonan. Michael was the son of Thomas Lang and Ann Crystal of Kinnagrelly/Glen Co. Sligo, both of whom died before 1862. Michael Lang died at Waseca, Minnesota in 1890.

(married Bridget Finan).
