GENERATION VIII

Joseph-Urgel⁸ Remillard;  Guillaume¹, Francois², Francois³, Augustin⁴, Pierre⁵; Remi⁶; Jean-Baptiste ⁷;  (Jean-Baptiste Remillard and Angele Manaigre); born 2 Dec 1867 at St-Cuthbert, Quebec; died 5 January 1957 at St. Boniface, Manitoba; married Marie-Honorine Gendron (Joseph & Hermine Millier) 11 June 1889 at Notre Dame de Lorette Catholic Church, Lorette, Manitoba. She was born 9 Dec. 1868 at St-Antoine-sur-Richelieu, Quebec and died 24 June 1940 at St. Boniface. Urgel and Honorine lived on a farm in Lorette. After selling the farm, Urgel lived on St. Jean Baptiste Street in St. Boniface and worked in the St. Boniface Abbatoir (slaughterhouse) where he worked as a foreman. When he retired, he and Honorine moved back to Lorette and lived on River Road. Urgel and Honorine were married 51 years. Children of Urgel Remillard & Honorine Gendron:

1.      Joseph Jules (Jim) Remillard; born 26 January 1891 in Lorette, Manitoba; married Regina Desrosiers (born 1890) on 14 August 1917 in St. Boniface, Manitoba; he died January 1975 in St. Boniface. Regina died 19 July 1969 in St. Boniface. They had six children.

2.      Marie-Clarisse (La Faye) Remillard; born 22 February 1892 at Lorette, Manitoba; she married Edmond Toupin (born 2 August 1891) on 12 January 1920 in St. Boniface, Manitoba; Clarisse died 23 January 1962 in St. Boniface; Edmond Toupin died 21 June 1961 in St. Boniface, Manitoba. They had three children; Irene, Rene and Yvonne.

3.      Oliva (Bebe) Remillard; born 18 October 1893 in Holyoke, Massachusetts; married Eugene Martel (born 17 October 1891) on 26 October 1915 in St. Boniface, Manitoba.

4.      Marie-Rosa Camillea Remillard; Born 6 Feb 1897 in Rural Municipality of Tache, Manitoba;

5.      Joseph Arthur Remillard; Born 8 Mar 1900 in Rural Municipality of Tache, Manitoba;

6.      Marie-Corinne Simone Remillard; Born 13 Dec 1902 in Rural Municipality of Tache, Manitoba;

7.      Joseph Emile Roland Remillard; Born 30 Mar 1906 in Rural Municipality of Tache, Manitoba; Religion Name: Roland-1911 census-Manitoba; he married Carletta Johnson; he died 2 Oct. 1993;

8.      Joseph Eugene Remillard; Born 25 Mar 1908 in Rural Municipality of Tache, Manitoba.
