Dr. P. A. Smith, coroner pronounced death due to heart failure. Mr. Hogan was the father of Dr. Dennis E. Hogan of Faribault having moved there recently with Mrs. Hogan after selling their home in St. Paul. They intended to make Faribault their permanent home. Dennis Hogan was known by many people in Faribault having stopped here many times in the past four years while on business trips, and while visiting at the home of his son.
Although not in ideal health for the past six months. Mr. Hogan for the about 30 years had been engaged in cattle buying and commission business and continued to be actively in the business until the time of his death. On Friday (October 21) he and Mrs. Hogan drove to Janesville bringing with them Mrs. Hogan’s mother Mrs. John Eustice (Ann Jewison).
It is thought that the strain and over exertion caused by attempting to start the car yesterday lead to the attack of heart failure. He was on his way to see his son Dr. Hogan at his office in the Farmer’s and Merchants State Bank.
Dennis Edward Hogan was born July 9th 61 years ago in Covington, Kentucky of Patrick and Ellen Hogan. He attended school (in Kentucky) until nine years of age when his parents and four brothers came to Minnesota and
